Procedures and schedule of review
The journal is issued annually. All the academic articles received by the editorial board will be subjected to double-blind peer review. Each manuscript, without the indication of its author, will be evaluated by two anonymous referees, who will be chosen from within the Scientific Committee.
For this purpose, Editors may reserve the right to choose any referees identified among scholars and experts external to the Scientific Committee.
The referees, the availability of which implies the implicit acceptance of the journal code of ethics, will examine each contribution on the basis of a peer-review module developed by the Editors of the journal consisting of a referee report form, and will summarize the overall evaluation of the manuscript by choosing one of the following options:
1. the contribution can be published without revisions;
2. the contribution will be published following an accurate revision;
3. the contribution cannot be published since it does not meet the scientific and methodological standards required by the journal.
Following the evaluation:
- each author will receive via e-mail the double-blind peer review within two months of sending the contribution;
- the author will have 15 days to make - where required - the suggested revisions;
- the Editorial Board will communicate the final decision regarding publication within 15 days of receiving the final draft of the article, and only once the revisions are verified to be in compliance with the peer-reviews.
