Abstract

The article offers, on the occasion of the centennial of Beppe Fenoglio’s birth, an analysis of La favola delle due galline, in order to show, on one side, classical and modern fable tradition’s aspects of continuity and, on the other, elements of remarkable innovation: main character’s evolution and planning for the future, the dramatic monologue, the topic of Resistance and the fable as spiritual will.
