Abstract
The present essay analyzes the various fables included in Luigi Pulci’s Morgante and, secondly, how some well-known preachers from XV Century, such as Bernardino da Siena, employ fables in their preaching. Fable emerges as a genre that persists from Esopo/Fredo and the teatrises on rethoric, up to the most renowned medioeval collections, and to italian translations into vernacular. And yet, every time fables are told they are remodeled to suit new morals and the new historical and antropoligical environments.
