Abstract
After providing some theoretical coordinates aimed at problematizing the fable of Cupid and Psyche, this article aims to analyze the aesthetic paradigms of Psyche in the rewritings of Sibilla Aleramo (Dialogo con Psiche) and Alberto Savinio (Angelica o la notte di maggio; La nostra anima), so as to demonstrate the metamorphoses of a myth, as well as the influence that the appearance of the Apulian heroine had for the reception of the fable and for the multitude of interpretations.
