Abstract

This article analyzes in detail the edition of the thesis discussed by Carlo Milani in 1902 on Angelo Poliziano as hellenist and Greek humanism in the fifteenth century, including an overview of the humanistic studies from the 17th century to 1902. The thesis, accurate and well-documented, although written over a century ago contains data and observations still useful today for the scholars of humanism.
