Abstract
On the evening of January 16, 1973, the Pier Lombardo Hall, a historic theater in Milan, opened its doors to the public with Ambleto, test of Giovanni Testori. The show is the initial chapter of the “Trilogy of Scarrozzanti” (composed of Ambleto, Macbetto, and Edipus) written for the actor Franco Parenti. The piece aims to offer an analysis of Edipus, a text in which dramaturgical invention contaminates the mythical and high level of representation with the actors personal stories, who become interpreters of themselves.
