Abstract

The contribution aims to examine Elsa Morante’s interest in classical literature, not only by analyzing the quotations present in her texts, but especially by studying the author’s book collection preserved at the the Sala Falqui of Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma. This collection, in fact, contains editions of Latin and Greek works rich in reading marks and autograph notes.
