Abstract
The article offers an analysis of the Liber Medicinalis by Quintus Serenus Sammonicus, a singular medical text in hexameters, which fits well into the growing interest in the ars medica, developed from the Imperial Age. The ancient prescription pad consists of 64 chapters and collects the remedies of the Roman pharmacopoeia proposed for the various organs in the order a capite ad calcem, according to the nosological classification of antidotaries attested in the Latin world.
